DarkLab is an open enrollment class. This class will provide you with the knowledge to become a more proficient NightFighter. This class focuses on increasing the students’ night vision skillsets during real world operations through lecture and range evolutions.

Prerequisites –- A vetted rifle and pistol course from a reputable instructor.
- A vetted Night Vision course from a reputable instructor.
- Competent gun handling and shooting skills are a must.
- No exceptions.
- Shooting on the move
- Shooting while using cover and concealment
- Shooting on and around obstacles
- Expedient movement under NODs
- No Light Reloads
- Positive identification and threat assessment
- Active and Passive Shooting
- Problem solving in a 360° environment
- Limited visibility weapon manipulation
- Non-Verbal Communication
- Good Attitude
- Nightfighting Rifle (Optic, White Light, IR Laser/Illuminator, Sling) and 800 rounds of ammunition
- Nightfighting Pistol (Weapon Light, Red Dot Optic) and 200 rounds of quality training ammunition.
- 5 Rifle Magazines
- 3 Pistol Magazines
- Helmet with NV Mount
- Night Vision (Dual or Single Tube Systems)
- Clear Eye Protection
- Electronic Hearing Protection. No Exceptions.
- Spare Batteries
- Handheld Flashlight
- IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) Tourniquet at a minimum. No
- Plate Carrier, Chest Rig (Although optional you will need a way to have 5 rifle mags on your person.
- Knee Pro (optional)
- Liquids and Solids (food and hydration materials)
- Bugspray as needed
- Rain gear as needed
- Notebook/pen
- Cleaning kit with lube
